This month on the Welcome Home blog, we’re turning the reigns over to three of our newest staffers so you can learn a little more about them. This week, meet Bill Gray, the Center’s Director of Stakeholder Relations.
Hi there! My name is Bill Gray, and I am the Center’s
Director of Stakeholder Relations. I joined the Center in April, 2018. My
duties include all things communications and public relations, as well as
relationship building and serving as lead staff for the Homeownership
Opportunity Alliance. As an individual committed to making our community
and our world more equitable for all, I am thrilled to have found such an
important and needed organization!
On the professional front, I am a nonprofit public relations
veteran with more than 20 years of experience under my belt. Since honing my
craft at one of the Twin Cities’ largest public relations firms, I’ve work and
consulted with government agencies, professional associations, healthcare
providers, public media companies and even animal welfare organizations. I also
serve on the Board of Directors for a long-term memory care home.
Personally, my fiancé and I live in Maplewood where we recently bought a house together and are taking notes on the amazing array of choreographed perennials and wildflowers making their appearances on the hill in our back yard – so we know what does and does not need to be weeded next year! I have two grown daughters and a middle school son, and we all enjoy summer drives in my 1965 Ford Falcon (or at least my son and I do…).
I’ve enjoyed meeting many of you personally over the last 16 months, and I look forward to continuing the push to make sustainable homeownership available and accessible to everyone!
