Minnesota's Preforeclosure Notice (MN Statute 580.021)
Effective August 1, 2008, Minnesota state law requires the foreclosing party to:

provide information regarding foreclosure prevention counseling services to the mortgager; |
 |
provide the homeowner’s name, address, and most recent known telephone number to an approved foreclosure prevention counseling agency - BEFORE filing the notice of pendency. |
The Minnesota Home Ownership Center maintains a database of contact information for approved foreclosure prevention counseling agencies available to lenders, servicers and foreclosure attorneys for use in complying with this law.
