The On November 9th, 2009, the Minnesota Home Ownership Center hosted the 3rd Annual Emerging Markets Homeownership Initiative (EMHI) Summit.  The Summit brought together industry, community and political leaders to explore progress and barriers to homeownership for communities of color.  At the 2009 Summit, staff from the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and Minnesota Housing presented an analysis of the state of emerging markets homeownership and the impact of the current housing and economic environment is having on efforts to close the gap.

The morning Summit was followed by an afternoon training on removing barriers to home ownership and included the introduction of the Center's newest tool: the Entry Cost and Down Payment Assistance Matrix.
